TED Conferences LLC is a media organization of America. It posts different important, famous and successful people’s talks online for free distribution. TED runs under a slogan known as “ideas worth spreading”. Richard Saul Wurman convinced that TED was a conference in 1984. It has been held annually since 1990. At first, TED’s target was technology and design that was related to its origin Silicon Valley which is popular because it is known as the center of high technology, innovation etc.

The primary annual TED conference is held at the Vancouver Convention Center in Canada. But, in 2014, it was arranged in Long Beach, California. The events by TED are also arranged all around North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and they also offer live streaming of the talks. The talker talk about a lot of topics in a wide range and these are always related to the research and practice of stuff like culture and science. And, this is often done through storytelling. And, the people that talk are given highest 18 minutes so that they can present their ideas in a creative, engaging and innovative way.

From June of 2006, TED has been free to watch online. But, it is under an Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives Creative Commons license through TED.com. In January of 2018, more than 2600 talks were available on the website free to watch. According to the analytics of June 2011, the total viewing figure of TED was more than 500 million. And, just by November 2012, the TED Talks were watched more than a billion times in the whole world. The TED talks that are given by academics are usually watched more online. And, art and design videos are watched less than average.
